Researchers within TTMI work closely with their clinical colleagues at the associated hospital sites and the translational research areas within the institute include:

- Genomics of human disease
The core facilities include Flow Cytometry, High Content Analysis, Immunohistochemistry, Laser Capture Microdissection, Functional Genomics and Next generation Sequencing.
TTMI are keen to develop strong collaborative relationships with members of the BioLago Health Network that are interested in applying for large European framework funding and also for companies seeking Academic/Clinical partners to develop their technologies.
