VIVIT
The VIVIT (Vorarlberg Institute for Vascular Investigation and Treatment) is a private non-profit association for biomedical research in the Vorarlberg region, based at the Landeskrankenhaus Feldkirch.
Research focuses on cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus and leg vascular diseases as well as topics from oncology and nephrology. In addition to collecting clinical data, biomarkers for diseases in the above-mentioned areas are investigated in a separate molecular biology laboratory in Dornbirn. In addition to these research activities, the VIVIT conducts clinical studies on behalf of supraregional companies at the academic teaching hospital in Feldkirch. The VIVIT is one of the most active institutes in the field of vascular research in Austria and is currently among the leaders in Europe.
