Hochschule Ravensburg-Weingarten (RWU)
Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences (RWU) is a state university in Weingarten, Upper Swabia (Württemberg) with degree programmes in the fields of technology, business and social work.
The courses offered include Bachelor's and Master's degrees in four faculties: Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Social Work, Health and Care, and Technology and Management.
In the focus area "Applied Social and Health Research", social work and health science issues are researched in connection with social determinants of health, illness and disability as well as care. At the Institute for Gerontological Care Research (IGVP), (technology-based) innovations for life and care in old age are researched in cooperation with industry partners. Other areas of expertise are artificial intelligence and optics (including in the field of medical technology). RWU has a chemistry and environmental analysis laboratory.
Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences has about 3,800 students and employs about 300 staff.
